As I was driving home today, it was around 9:00 on a Friday night, I passed two prostitutes, hookers, or whatever you want to call them. The unusual, funny, weird thing was that it was in a small quiet village that you wouldn’t expect to see something like that. The first one I passed, I thought it was just some disgusting girl walking on the side of the road yet when I approached closer she sort of stopped and did a pose. She wasn’t dressed like a prostitute but her face and hair were screaming “I need help” and “I’ll give you anything you want.” When I looked in my rear view mirror when I passed her she had continued on walking so I don’t know and I don’t want to make any assumptions.
However, the second girl I saw was either prostituting or just really looking the part. She was standing in front a small apartment building wearing high-high heels/stilettos, a piece of fabric around her private/hip area (aka real short miniskirt), and some sort of jacket. She was just standing there on the sidewalk like nothing was going on, as if it were a bright sunny day with the birds singing while she was just enjoying the day. So I passed her thinking so many things such as ‘wow’ and ‘that’s crazy unusual’ and something you don’t see everyday in a suburban-rural area.
I know in every town there are prostitutes, drugs, rapists, molesters, murderers, abuse etc. But when you see it it’s just a crazy illusion! I guess what really sparked me is that I saw these things in a quiet small hamlet of a town and just have not seen something like that in a long time especially for the location it was happening.
Okay, so maybe the second girl was waiting for someone to pick her up to go partying at a club or bar but still, why would you wait out on the sidewalk like that in broad night light? Unless the warm weather this night brought many people outside to work the streets. Yeeahh right.
Furthermore, before I saw the second girl there were a couple adults and young children hanging out by a picnic table between a school and a church which is fine and dandy yet why would you have young children out that time of night? Shouldn’t they be in bed sleeping? Some people just don’t make any sense to me.
Listen ladies, I know times are tough but please don’t go selling your body because it’s not worth it and you don’t want to have any regrets later on in life. Have some self-respect and pride for yourself. Be cool, stay in school, and don’t prostitute. If you really feel the need to have to do that then go to Las Vegas where it is at least legal there. By all means though, I’m not condoning it.
